Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lead Teacher to join our educational team at our new child care facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for young children. This role is essential to support children's leaning by implementing lesson plans and engaging with students in various educational activities.
Duties
Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons focused on literacy and overall development
- Support children’s learning through individual and group activities, ensuring that each child’s needs are met.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all students, including those with special education needs.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to promote a collaborative learning atmosphere.
- Supervise Assistant teacher as they help with classroom activities and duties.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, outdoor play, and transitions to ensure safety and engagement.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and learning materials.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of early childhood education best practices.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting is preferred.
- A background in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Previous experience in private school settings or toddler care is advantageous but not required.
