Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and basic cooking tasks to support the Lead Cook and kitchen operations
• Maintain cleanliness by regularly cleaning workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment in accordance with food safety standards
• Support food running duties by delivering prepared food promptly from the kitchen to classrooms.
• Handle manual lifting of supplies, ingredients, and equipment following safe lifting practices to prevent injury
• Assist with food handling duties such as portioning ingredients and organizing storage areas to ensure freshness and safety

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with knowledge of food safety protocols
• Familiarity with kitchen tasks including cooking, food preparation, cleaning, and dishes
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while handling supplies or equipment
• Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and interact positively with staff and classrooms
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced settings while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and support
