The primary roles of the Summer Camp Specialist are to manage the daily coordination of children getting to and from summer camp via agency provided transportation, communicating with staff, parents and the summer camp directors to ensure information regarding children and their summer camp experience is shared. Completing attendance, mid-summer and end of the summer reports. Background screening and drug test required.
School teachers and paraprofessionals encouraged to apply.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Driving the summer camp vehicle to ensure kids are safely transported to and from summer camp Monday-Friday (including being on-call during camp hours for unexpected pickup)
· Ensuring lunches are picked up from the cafeteria each day and given to children upon arrival at camp
· Collecting and maintaining attendance/lack of attendance information
· Communicate effectively with parents regarding summer camp activities, registrations, expectations, and other summer camp information
· Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· At least 1-2 years of experience working with children
· First Aid and CPR certifications (preferred), including Heimlich maneuver
· Valid driver’s license
- Hours: 4-5 hours per day, between the hours of 7am-12noon and 3pm-7pm
