COMPANY OVERVIEW
Family Practice Associates of Chesterfield (FPAC)is an independently owned family medicine practice located on the campus of St Francis Medical Center in Midlothian Virginia. With over forty-five years of service to the community, we focus on providing outpatient care tailored to the needs of our patients, supported by a modern facility and a dedicated team. FPAC has 10 practitioners to include Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants with a support staff of over 50 professionals. FPAC provides ancillary services including lab, radiology and behavior health.
POSITION SUMMARY
Family Practice Associates of Chesterfield is seeking an experienced practice administrator to lead us into the future. The practice administrator provides leadership and direction of all operations through development and management of human, practice and financial resources. The practice administrator assists the Board of Physicians in strategic planning, practice governance, business development activities, budget and revenue management and policy enforcement.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Establishes and implements goals, objectives, policies, and systems for all operational areas of the clinic. Identifies and resolves any operational problems.
Monitors and analyzes financial information such that a cost-effective approach to clinic operations is ensured.
Develops and implements long term practice objectives as approved by the physician owners.
Works closely with management team in the selection, training, and supervision of all clinic staff
Oversees HR and ensures effective administration /implementation of compensation, benefits, job descriptions, personnel policies, and payroll practices.
Ensures compliance with all regulations/regulatory bodies and standards, including but not limited to OSHA, HIPAA, OIG, Corporate Compliance etc
Resolves administrative and operational problems; including the maintenance of clinic, computer systems, and installed software applications. Works closely with IT on all computer and software issues and purchases
Oversees revenue cycle performance, financial performance and uses analytical metrics to direct processes.
Responsible for overseeing the profit-sharing plan including making all contributions (employer discretionary, 401k), collecting information and arranging for non-discrimination testing and making sure minimum required distributions are met.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associates/Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare management, business, or related field with 3-5 years of related work and staff management experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered. This position will require previous hands on experience with Family Medicine.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for interacting with patients, physicians, supervisors and support staff
Broad understanding of financial aspects of practice management with analytical and computer skills associated with financial modeling and budgeting
Ability to think strategically, effect change, see and articulate both the larger picture and operational steps needed to achieve practice-related goals and objectives. Display independent judgment with the willingness to make timely and accurate decisions under pressure.
Excellent organizational and time management skills that are detail oriented and readily communicated to others.
Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Practice Management Software, Electronic Medical Records, Coding and Documentation to succeed in Value Based Care Initiatives
