Duties

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
• Support medication administration following prescribed protocols and document accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
• Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, utilizing memory care techniques and behavior management strategies
• Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids to promote safety during transfers
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist residents during meal times to foster independence
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and adherence to infection control standards
• Engage residents in social activities and support their emotional well-being through compassionate interaction
• Drive residents when necessary for appointments or community outings, ensuring safe transportation practices
• Collaborate with team members, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans

Qualifications

• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia management, and behavior management techniques
• Certification or training in first aid is advantageous; willingness to obtain if not already certified
• Experience with medication administration and vital signs monitoring is desirable
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general
• Strong communication skills coupled with a caring attitude toward residents’ needs
• Valid driver’s license preferred for driving responsibilities; must adhere to safety standards at all times
• Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation purposes is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting or transferring residents safely

Required:

• Age 18 or older
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass criminal background screening
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients as needed
• Compassionate, dependable, and professional demeanor

Pay: From $10.00 per hour
