Orthodontic office front desk receptionist
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, establishing a friendly and professional atmosphere at the front desk
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification
- Schedule appointments accurately, coordinate with clinical staff, and manage appointment reminders via phone or texting
- Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, addressing inquiries promptly and professionally
- Maintain organized medical records, ensure proper filing of patient documents, and review documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Assist with billing procedures including collecting payment, sending statements, and codes related with dental billing.
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, typing reports, filing paperwork, and managing office supplies.
- Uphold HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and ensuring confidentiality at all times.
Requirements
- Experience is a plus - but if you do not have any experience, don't worry! We will train you.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and medical billing procedures
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and office management software
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and data entry tasks
- Exceptional customer service abilities combined with professional phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
- Previous clinic or dental office experience is preferred; familiarity with dental terminology is a plus
- Knowledge of health information management practices related to medical records and insurance processing
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Hours: Monday 8-5, Tuesday 9-6, Thursday 8-5. Plus if flexible with schedule and willing to cover non-clinical administrative days on Wednesdays and Fridays as needed basis.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 – 27.0 per week
