Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Office Manager/Front Desk professional to lead our administrative operations and ensure a welcoming, efficient environment for staff, clients, and visitors. This role combines front desk responsibilities with office management duties, supporting the overall health of ourswim club. The ideal candidate will be proactive in making guests feel welcome, encouraging membership, but firmly enforcing club rules for entry and membership.
Details on Hours
- We are seeking 2 people to split the bulk of working hours
- We would like to pay a summer wage of $4500 per office manager. (this means you are paid if we close for rain)
- This should work out to approximately 28 hours per week, usually Noon - 6pm.
- Pool Hours are 12-7 - Sat-Mon and 10-7 Tue-Friday, actual hours will be split by mutual decision between 2 office managers,
- Pool opens weekends only Memorial Day - June 21, part time June 22-24, full-time June 25- Labor Day.
- Swim Club will fill in uncovered hours with wage-earning office staff.
- Every other weekend off, 1 week vacation
Responsibilities
- Gatekeeper for members and guests to assure that all who enter the pool grounds are registered. Accurate check in on Pool Pass.
- Develop rapport with all members, but especially the regulars, greet by name.
- Must be able to be firm, yet nonconfrontational at the front gate
- Assist in registration for all pool activities, including membership, swim lessons, swim team, or other activities.
- Keep an accurate record of income from guest passes, and other payments.
- Answer phone and emails regarding immediate pool needs, but defer to appropriate board member inquiries of a larger sense.
- Maintain a stocked first aid kit
- Assist managers with staff check in and out (Deputy Platform)
- Assist with snack stand staffing
- Develop a system for the main office to serve as a basic reserve snack stand so that members and guests always have access to a small assortment of snack and beverage choices
- Upkeep of bulletin boards, including a staff intro photo collage so members get to know staff
- Curate and maintain the game supply. Update a poster/list for games available
- Communicate regularly with managers and designated board member
- Meet the needs of the swim club and its members.
- Help the board develop creative ways to keep members engaged.
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
