What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Care Professional/caregiver position at Family Matters Services inc.?
Family Matters Services is looking for compassionate in-home caregivers to provide high quality assistance to individuals with special needs or disabilities. Your job will be to help clients by:
- Serving as a companion
- Providing transportation to activities, events, etc.
- Encouraging light exercise (walks, bikes, swims, stretches)
- Taking clients to social activities, fairs, and events in the community or with family and friends
- Help with doctor's appointments and shopping
- Manage medications
- Prepare meals and snacks
- Light housekeeping
- Pet support
- Teaching life skills, such as cooking, exercise, and hygiene
Requirements
- Must be patient, caring, compassionate, friendly, and professional
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be 18 years or older and a high school graduate
- Must be able to pass a background check
Salary and Benefits
- Part-time- afternoon/evening weekday shifts and weekend shifts required
- This role requires travel to Layton and Ogden
- Starting at $17 per hour depending on experience
