Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Family Law Paralegal to join our growing legal team. This role is ideal for someone who has a solid foundation in family law and can confidently manage day-to-day case responsibilities while working collaboratively with attorneys and staff.
You will play a key role in keeping cases organized, moving forward, and ensuring clients are supported throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Support attorneys in family law matters, including divorce, time-sharing, and post-judgment cases
- Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, financial affidavits, discovery, and correspondence
- Manage case files and deadlines, ensuring compliance with court rules and procedures
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff in a professional and timely manner
- Assist with discovery, document collection, and trial/hearing preparation
- Coordinate scheduling for hearings, mediations, and client meetings
- Maintain accurate records and case updates in case management software (Clio experience a plus)
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of family law paralegal experience
- Working knowledge of Florida family law procedures, court filings, and deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple cases independently while staying organized and detail-oriented
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Experience with case management systems (Clio preferred) and Microsoft Office
