Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal advice and counsel to clients involved in family law cases such as divorce, time-sharing, and post-judgement cases
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents including settlement agreements, parenting plans, and court pleadings
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools like LexisNexis to support case strategies
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations with professionalism and assertiveness
- Manage case files efficiently, ensuring all documentation complies with legal standards and deadlines
- Collaborate with colleagues on complex cases involving domestic violence
- Stay current on evolving laws related to family law to provide accurate guidance
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in the state of Florida
- At least one year experience handling family law cases with a strong understanding of divorce, child custody, alimony, and related issues
- Exceptional research skills utilizing LexisNexis for case law and legal precedent analysis
- Excellent writing skills for drafting pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and legal correspondence
- Strong negotiation abilities to facilitate favorable settlements while advocating zealously for clients
- Familiarity with litigation procedures and courtroom procedures specific to family law cases
- Legal administrative experience including case management software and document organization
Compensation, Benefits & Flexibility
- Compensation is productivity-based, with associate salary tied directly to billable performance of at least 14 hours per week
- Flexible, results-driven time off — there is no fixed PTO cap; associates may take time off at their discretion, provided annual billing expectations are met and court and client obligations are covered

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
