Daycare Assistant Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that fosters the emotional, social, and cognitive development of children. The Daycare Teacher will work closely with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children to implement engaging activities that promote learning through play.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood development standards.
• Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and caregivers as needed.
• Foster positive relationships with children, promoting social skills and emotional well-being.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement strategies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and materials.
• Provide first aid when necessary and ensure the health and safety of all children in care.

Qualifications

• Early Childhood Education Credits (preferred)
• Bilingual English and Spanish (preferred)
• Experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting is essential.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
• First aid certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification is necessary.
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to create an engaging learning environment.
• Previous experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial.
