We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Assistant to join our team. As a Daycare Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe, engaging, and educational atmosphere for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
Duties
- Assist in the daily care of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development.
- Foster a positive learning environment through effective classroom management techniques.
- Engage with children in play and educational activities, encouraging social interaction and learning.
- Monitor children's behavior and provide guidance on appropriate conduct.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and play areas.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Assist with diaper changes, feeding, and other personal care tasks as needed for infants and toddlers.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to early childhood education and caregiving.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles is essential.
- Familiarity with special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- First aid certification is desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held is required.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics while providing individualized attention to students as needed.
- Experience in toddler care, infant care, or preschool settings is highly valued.
