The Cleaning Specialist performs routine daily cleaning and specialized project-based deep cleaning to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across all Family HealthCare facilities.
Daily Cleaning Responsibilities
- Performs routine cleaning of assigned areas, including patient rooms, waiting areas, offices, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and products
- Vacuums, dust, and sanitize all designated areas according to established cleaning schedules and protocols
- Maintains bathrooms to the highest cleanliness standards, including toilet, sink, shower, and floor cleaning and sanitization
- Empties trash receptacles, recycling, and other waste containers; replaces liners and disposes of waste according to healthcare facility protocols
- Replenishes cleaning supplies, restocking paper towels, soap, sanitizer, and other necessary items
Project-Based Deep Cleaning Responsibilities
- Deep cleaning of bathrooms, steam cleaning furniture, windows, carpet extraction, and burnishing floors are examples of project-based cleanings that this position will be responsible for.
- Performs other large-scale seasonal and periodic cleaning projects as assigned by the Facility Manager
- Maintains specialized cleaning equipment, performing basic maintenance and troubleshooting
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare environment (desired)
