ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.
Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day.
2.
Communicate necessary information to others as appropriate.
3.
Obtains and documents physical and neurologic assessments of hospital and/or emergency department patients.
4.
Initiates proper emergency care, as necessary.
5.
Notifies the physician of significant changes in patient condition during hospital or emergency department visits.
6.
Receives, carries out, and documents physician’s orders in a timely and appropriate manner.
7.
Assists physician with medical procedures.
8.
Safely and correctly performs all procedures within his/her scope of nursing practices.
9.
Demonstrates knowledge of medication dosages, routes, and actions through careful administration of medication ordered utilizing the 7 patient rights
10.
Maintains a clean and organized work area.
11.
Stocks supplies and medications as needed.
12.
Teaches and maintains standard / special precautions, to patients, families, and other caregivers as indicated.
13.
Identifies patient needs, participates in formal weekly care plan reviews, initiates care planning and implements plan of care in conjunction with other disciplines.
14.
Directs and assists with patient mobility, hygiene, and ADL’s.
15.
Assures that all records required for admission, i.e.: consents, 2-day discharge notices, etc. are completed.
16.
Completes an accurate documentation of assessments, observations, situations and events.
17.
Participates in continuing educational events.
18.
Conducts formal and informal teaching of patients, families and staff.
19.
Maintains protection of patient’s rights to privacy and dignity.
20.
Displays courteous and professional interactions with the public and staff members.
21.
Displays excellent team player skills and coaching skills for all staff.
22.
Attends skills days annually and maintains/completes required competencies on time.
23.
Responsible for monitoring daily labs/radiology reports and notifying physicians with any issues.
24.
Follows hospital/department policies and procedures.
25.
Other job related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
1.
Education
Associates Degree in Nursing
2.
Licenses
Current unrestricted Registered Nurse License with the State of Colorado
3.
Certifications
Current BLS upon hire with ACLS/PALS within 6 month of hire
4.
Experience
A minimum of 1 year Inpatient experience preferred
Wage starts at $34.60 for RN I and goes up with experience
Wage starts at $36.00 for RN II and goes up with experience

Salary : $35 - $36
