EDUCATION (must be required for position), LICENSE, CERTIFICATION and EXPERIENCE:
1. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2. Licenses: Current Medical Assistant Certification and/or Registration required through an
accredited organization (i.e. AMT, AAMA, NHA, etc.)
3. Certifications: Non-Required
4. Experience: 1-2 years related experience preferred.


REQUIRED SCREENINGS:
1. Drug Screen
2. Physical Assessment
3. Tuberculosis screen
4. Background check (Criminal, Civil, Educational, Previous Employment, etc.)
5. Driver Record screen (positions requiring on-the-job driving)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
*  Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day. 
*  Communications - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions
*  Assemble information concerning patient's clinical background and referral needs; per referral guidelines, provide appropriate clinical information to specialists; review details and expectations about the referral with patients.
*  Prioritizes referrals by their urgency and addresses them in a timely manner; maintain ongoing tracking and appropriate documentation on referrals to promote team awareness and ensure patient safety.
*  Participates in the selection, orientation and training of referral processes.
*  Reviews details and expectations about the referral with both ordering providers and patients; requests new referrals to be ordered when applicable;
*  Ensure complete and accurate registration, including patient demographic and current insurance information.
Point of contact for patients and specialists for any questions or rising concerns. Assist in problem
solving potential issues related to their referral due to language or social barriers, and
transportation. If unable to help, assist in finding the right point of contact to further help.
Accurately and truthfully complete patient records for the referral process in a timely manner.
Work harmoniously with Physician and Clerical staff to meet patient needs; assist Medical Office
Specialists with check-in/out process; serve as backup for Medical Office Specialists vacations,
illnesses, lunches, etc.
Medication cards set-up, medication card explanation/patient education pertaining to medication
card
Complete daily routine assignments.

customer/patient situations; responds promptly to inquiries, responds to requests for service
and assistance; meets commitments.
* Job Knowledge - Competent in required job skills and knowledge; exhibits ability to learn and
apply new skills; keeps abreast of current developments; requires minimal supervision; displays
understanding of how job relates to others; maintains confidentiality per policy and regulations.
* Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes
information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving
situations.
* Planning/Organizing - Prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently; plans for
additional resources; sets goals and objectives; develops realistic action plans.
* Teamwork - Exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views; gives and welcomes feedback;
establishes and maintains effective relations; exhibits tact and consideration; offers assistance
and support to co-workers; works cooperatively in group situations.

Wage starts at $20 per hour and goes up with experience
