What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist position at Family Health Centers, P.A.?
Welcome to the Family! The Family Health Centers seeks applicants for phlebotomist to work in any one of our three locations: Asheville, Arden and Candler.
- The phlebotomist collects blood (through vein or finger) and sterile urine specimens. Responsibilities include performing waived laboratory test and daily quality checks.
PHLEBOTOMIST DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Phlebotomist certificate.
- Three to six months of clinical laboratory work/training experience in a fast-paced medical practice.
- Previous experience working with electronic medical records. (Athena Preferred)
- Equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge,
PHLEBOTOMIST SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of HIPAA requirements.
- High level of professionalism, excellent communications skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
- Ability to prioritize work
- Knowledge of CLIA/OSHA regulations and guidelines
Work hours Monday - Friday, days.
