ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accurately dispense prescription medications in accordance with federal and state regulations, clinical protocols, and pharmacy policies.
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, proper dosage, interactions, and contraindications.
- Counsel patients on appropriate medication use, potential side effects, storage, and adherence.
- Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to resolve medication-related issues and provide drug therapy recommendations.
- Support the 340B Drug Pricing Program, ensuring compliance and appropriate documentation.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and receiving medications as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date records in the pharmacy information system and electronic health record (EHR).
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Assist with internal audits, quality assurance, and safety procedures as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and uphold infection control standards.
