Housekeeper

JOB SUMMARY:

Maintains a clean and odor free safe environment in the clinic by performing the custodial and janitorial duties assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sweep and mop all tile/vinyl floor areas daily
• Clean all bathrooms daily
• Check, dust and refill all soap and towel dispensers daily.
• All offices that have carpeting in them need to be vacuumed twice weekly and PRN.
• Empty all trash containers daily, clean outside of trash cans in the exam room weekly and PRN.
• All chairs in the front lobby need to be wiped clean weekly and PRN.
• Clean and disinfect water fountain in front lobby daily.
• Clean the front door, receptionist sliding glass window with Windex glass cleaner daily and PRN.
• Clean the receptionist/patient counter daily.
• Keep the housekeeping closet in neat order (i.e. floors clean, shelves orderly, restocked).
• Empty outside trash receptacles, including picking up trash and cigarette butts from around the outside of the building weekly and PRN.
• Water and attend to flower beds in front and back of clinic.

  • Clean out Refrigerator
  • Clean Microwave
  • Clean artificial greenery
  • Other cleaning duties as requested
  • Make sure that all cleaning supplies and chemicals used are listed on MSDS
  • Maintain supply of paper towels and toilet tissue dispensers
  • Inform Supervisor when cleaning supplies are running low.
  • Place all empty boxes (from designated area) in dumpster.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information relative to FHCSO matters.

• All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION:

1) High School Diploma/GED

Experience cleaning commercial buildings, medical facilities preferred, but not required

Physical Demands:

Be physically able to stand for long periods of time, lift at least 50 pounds, high work volume, able to stoop and bend without difficulty. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
