Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in optometry and optical services, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service in a retail/medical environment. As an Optician, you will play a key role in helping patients select the right eyewear and ensuring their optical needs are met with professionalism and care.
Duties
- Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear based on their prescriptions and personal preferences.
- Conduct fittings and adjustments of eyeglasses to ensure proper fit and comfort.
- Maintain knowledge of current optical trends, products, and technologies.
- Manage patient records accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with our optometrist and other staff professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize EMR systems for managing patient information and appointments effectively.
- Perform basic laboratory tasks related to lens fabrication and repair as needed.
- Educate patients on the proper care and use of their eyewear, including contact lenses.
- Handle retail sales transactions efficiently while providing excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an optical setting or related field is preferred.
