POSITION SUMMARY:
Exercise Therapist providing neuromuscular re-education and therapeutic exercise programs in a collaborative chiropractic practice. This position works closely with chiropractors and occupational therapists to deliver comprehensive corrective care for adult and adolescent patients.
Reports to: Lead Chiropractor/Practice Owner
Employment Type: Part time
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:Patient Care:
- Deliver prescribed neuromuscular re-education (NMR) exercises following patient adjustments
- Guide adult and adolescent patients through therapeutic exercise programs
- Teach proper form, breathing techniques, and movement patterns
- Progress exercises based on patient ability and treatment goals
- Document patient sessions, progress, and compliance
- Educate patients on how exercises complement chiropractic adjustments and retrain the nervous system
Team Collaboration:
- Work alongside Occupational Therapist
- Collaborate with chiropractors on patient care plans and progress
- Participate in weekly team training and development meetings
- Communicate patient progress and concerns to treating doctor
- Maintain exercise equipment and rehab area organization
Community Outreach:
- Schedule community outreach programs (call, email, meet with business owners)
- Accompany chiropractor to community events (health fairs, screenings, workshops)
- Greet attendees, explain services, perform posture analysis
- Assist with patient workshops and educational presentations
- Represent the practice professionally in the community
QUALIFICATIONS:Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field (or Associate's degree with relevant experience)
- 1 years experience working with clients in therapeutic or clinical setting
- CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics
- Excellent communication skills - able to teach and explain concepts clearly
- Comfortable with public speaking and community engagement
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Team player with positive attitude
- Coachable and eager to learn
Preferred:
- Certified Personal Trainer (ACSM, NASM, ACE, or similar)
- Knowledge of corrective exercise or functional movement
- Experience with community outreach or health promotion
- Athletic training background

HOURS:
Schedule: Part-Time
Typical Hours:
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
- 9:00-6:00 PM
- Some evening or weekend community events may be required
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Hourly Rate: $20-25 per hour, commensurate with experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to demonstrate exercises (stand, squat, lunge, bend, reach, balance for extended periods)
- Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs occasionally)
- Manual dexterity for hands-on corrections and demonstrations
- Ability to set up and break down equipment for community events
