Description

Earn a Sign-On Bonus (up to $3,000) when joining our team as a Clinical Lead! 

Title: Clinical Lead MA-C or LPN

Location: Urgent Care Center Bellingham

Will need to travel to other Urgent Care Centers in Lynden and Mount Vernon

City: Bellingham, WA

Position: Full-Time, 40 hours/week, Monday - Friday, 12:30pm - 9:00pm. Including 1 weekend per month, Saturday & Sunday, 8:30am - 5:00pm. The Urgent Care Centers are open seven days a week, excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas. non-exempt (hourly)

**Starting in June 2025 position shifts will change to 4 x 10's, flex schedule Monday - Friday 8:30am - 7:00pm or 10:30am - 9:00pm. Weekend shift hours, 1 weekend per month, Saturday & Sunday, 8:30am - 5:00pm.  

Compensation:

  • The full wage scale for a Clinical Lead Medical Assistant (MA-C) is $23.97 - $33.36 per hour.
  • The full wage scale for a Clinical Lead Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is 26.44 - $36.86 per hour.

Placement within the wage range is determined by the candidate’s relevant experience.

Bonus: Candidates are eligible to receive a sign-on bonus of $3,000 when accepting a full-time position (0.75 - 1.0 FTE) or $1,500 when accepting a part-time position (0.5 - 0.74 FTE).

Time Off & Wellness:

  • PTO, PSL, and EIB accrue starting on your first day, and you can use paid time off after the applicable days of employment
  • Full-time employees generally begin earning 18 days of PTO, increasing 33 days over time per our PTO policy.  You can rollover unlimited PTO hours into the next year.
  • PSL accrues at 1 hour per 40 hours worked
  • EIB accrues up to 32 hours per year (pro-rated based on hours worked) for both part-time and full-time employees, with a maximum of 480 hours

Job Summary:

The Clinical Lead position provides leadership and mentoring as needed for staff, as well as clinical support for Family Care Networks physicians, patients and staff. We are looking for an experienced, qualified, motivated individual with a passion for family medicine who can:

  • Communicate effectively
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Effectively manage patient flow in a fast-paced, urgent care environment
  • Utilize clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills to deliver safe, effective and therapeutic patient care
  • Assist with scheduling and reviewing timecards as directed by the Practice Manager
  • Responsible for regulatory compliance, performance observation
  • Participates in clinical leadership meetings
  • Prioritize and multitask on multiple projects with frequent interruptions

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of clinical and medical office practices
  • Understand site specific flow, protocol and processes: Clinics specific processes are understood and followed
  • Critical thinking, triage per scope of practice, assessment, problem solving and documentation reflect consistent meeting of standards
  • Accurately schedule, change and cancel appointments in the practice management system
  • Effectively manage stress, self-care

Qualifications


Education and Experience:

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Active or interim Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) licensure through the Washington State Department of Health.
  • Acquire and maintain BLS certification as per FCN BLS policy 

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger coordination, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and listen attentively. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

Immunization Requirements: Employees are required to meet immunization standards in accordance with federal, state, and organizational health and safety guidelines, as applicable to the role. A simple process is in place for employees to request exemptions for medical or religious reasons.
