Ii. Primary Responsibilities
- Clinical Leadership and Team Management:
- Provide clinical oversight, supervision, and leadership to a team of clinicians delivering integrated behavioral health care.
- Oversee assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Partner with the Associate Medical Directors (AMDs), Chief Behavioral Health Officer (CBHO), and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous learning within the clinical team.
- Recruit, hire, and onboard BH Integrated Site Managers.
- Mentor and develop both medical and clinical staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.
- Partner with Human Resources leadership to recruit, onboard, and retain top talent.
- Manage and optimize the staffing model for efficient and effective service delivery.
- Assist CBHO with preparing content/updates/announcements for all Family Care Health Centers (FCHC) team meetings.
- Coordinate with site lead(s) to update job descriptions as needed.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation is completed by all program staff.
- Monitor revenue and expenditures.
- Data Driven Program and Quality Management:
- Develop and oversee integrated behavioral health programs, ensuring they meet the highest standards of patient care.
- Implement evidence-based practices and innovative approaches to improve patient-centered service delivery.
- Monitor and evaluate patient care using data-driven approaches to make necessary adjustments and improve outcomes.
- Establish and monitor quality patient care and other metrics for continuous improvement.
- Analyze clinical patient data to identify trends, measure performance, and implement quality improvement initiatives.

- Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and professional standards, addressing any clinical or operational issues promptly.
- Assist CBHO and BH Program Manager with preparing and submitting monthly BH reports for the FCHC Board of Directors.
- Assist CBHO and BH Program Manager in preparing the annual BH Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) report.
- Prepare Quality Improvement reports for discussion at the BH departmental meetings.
- Integrated Patient Care:
- Conduct individual therapy sessions, care management.
- Collaborate with primary care, operations leadership, and behavioral health teams to engage patients and drive improved outcomes.
- Build and implement referral pathways for clinical support(s) as needed to ensure patient needs are being met.
- Offer guidance and education to patients on their health questions and concerns.
- Participate in and/or lead staff in-service programs related to social services and/or behavioral health.
- Strategic Planning and Innovation:
- Collaborate with fellow leadership members on strategic initiatives to advance integrated behavioral health care that are part of a patient’s health care.
- Identify opportunities for growth and innovation in behavioral health and health promotion.
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate impact on patient outcomes and efficiency.
- Establish and maintain cooperative referral relationships with community agencies, organizations, and professionals.
- Prepare and monitor annual BH encounter budget.
- Grant Management
- Establish and maintain a patient registry to monitor clinical outcomes as well as key processes of care.
- Work with BH team to track patient progress towards grant outcomes.
- Prepare the monthly BH expense report for the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), including grant and non-grant related expenses.
- Assist CBHO with grant budgets and managing grant reporting of expenses and outcomes.
- Coordinate BH peer reviews and annual evaluation for site lead(s).
- Coordinate the agenda and keep minutes for all BH meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
III. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work required.
- Active MO state license (LCSW) required.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in a leadership role within the field of social work or behavioral health care required.
- Work experience or strong desire to work in urban community health setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
