Clinical Manager (Registered Nurse)

Position Summary
The Clinical Manager is responsible for the day-to-day clinical operations of the primary care clinic. This position provides leadership and supervision to clinical staff while ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and excellent patient outcomes. The Clinical Manager collaborates closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and administrative leadership to improve clinical quality, patient satisfaction, and staff performance.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesClinical Leadership
- Provide leadership, supervision, coaching, and support to nursing and clinical staff.
- Develop work schedules and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Conduct employee performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, orientation, and staff development.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and patient-focused work environment.
Clinical Operations
- Oversee daily clinical operations to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Monitor patient scheduling and workflow to maximize provider productivity.
- Ensure exam rooms are properly equipped and stocked.
- Coordinate clinical services across providers and departments.
- Monitor clinic productivity and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
Quality & Patient Safety
- Ensure compliance with clinical standards, evidence-based practices, and organizational policies.
- Monitor infection prevention and control practices.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives.
- Review incident reports and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure accurate clinical documentation.
Regulatory Compliance
- Maintain compliance with:
- HIPAA
- OSHA
- CLIA
- CMS requirements
- State Board of Nursing regulations
- Primary Care accreditation standards
- Prepare for audits and regulatory inspections.
- Ensure staff maintain required certifications and competencies.
Patient Care
- Support providers in delivering high-quality patient care.
- Address patient concerns and assist in resolving service issues.
- Monitor patient satisfaction and implement improvements.
- Assist with direct patient care when needed.
Collaboration
- Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, laboratory personnel, and administrative staff.
- Assist with implementation of new clinical programs and workflows.
Minimum QualificationsEducation
- Associate Degree in Nursing required.
Licensure
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Nebraska (or ability to obtain prior to hire).
Experience
- Minimum of 1–5 years of clinical nursing experience in primary care, family practice, ambulatory care, or outpatient clinic.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Required Training and Certifications
Candidates must possess or obtain the following:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- CPR Certification
- HIPAA Training
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Training
- Infection Prevention and Control Training
- Vaccine Storage and Handling Training (if applicable)
- Quality Improvement/Performance Improvement training
- Clinical Documentation standards training

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.69 - $28.00 per hour
