Pharmacy Technician – Fall River Health Service
Schedule: 32 hours/week • No evenings or weekends • Holiday rotation
Compensation: $16.93–$20.28/hour (DOE)
Fall River Health Service is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our patient-focused healthcare team. In this vital role, you will work under the direction of the Pharmacy Supervisor and Staff Pharmacist to support daily pharmacy operations, ensure medication accuracy, and contribute to safe, high-quality patient care. What You’ll Do

Prepare medications by counting, packaging, and labeling for pharmacist inspection.

Assist with medication cart preparation, including filling, delivery, billing, and crediting.

Maintain drug inventory, procure medications through the wholesaler, and assist with recalls and returning outdated products for credit.

Perform routine deliveries to nursing units and ancillary departments.

Prepare IV admixtures under pharmacist supervision.

Prepack unit-dose medications using automated pre-packing equipment.

Answer pharmacy phone calls and support communication needs.

Conduct inspections of medication areas, remove outdated items, restock supplies, and maintain accurate documentation.

Maintain patient medication billing records within Epic and Speedscript.

Utilize automated dispensing systems: filling, troubleshooting, loading/unloading, and maintaining system databases.

Use basic Microsoft Office applications for documentation and communication.

Participate in required education, training, and in-service programs.

Lift and carry items up to 30 pounds as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned while operating within departmental policies and procedures.

Prioritize and adjust workflow independently as situations require.
