We are seeking a reliable, team-oriented Manufacturing IT Business Systems Specialist to support technology and business processes within a fast-paced manufacturing company. This role provides hands-on technical support for both the office and manufacturing environments. This position has an opportunity to transition to a System Administrator role for the right individual.
Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems in a business or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications and administration.
- Aptitude for developing solutions using mainstream programming languages.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot computer hardware, peripheral devices, and user-level application issues.
- Strong organizational, asset management, problem-solving and time management skills.
- Experience with supporting manufacturing environments and willingness to learn new processes.
- Knowledge of single board computers and industrial communication tools.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of backup systems.
- Understanding of Cybersecurity principles and policies.
- Fundamental knowledge and development skills within WordPress for webpage support.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Macros and VBA, Python scripting, and .NET development or support
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot windows-based computers and related peripheral devices used in both office and manufacturing areas.
- Support and maintain business and manufacturing applications, including production tracking and reporting systems.
- Follow and enforce company cybersecurity policies and best practices.
- Support shop-floor systems and equipment interfaces where applicable; electronics knowledge is a plus.
- Documentation of systems, work instructions, and network diagrams.
- Oversee daily production data collection systems.
- Respond to critical issues with a sense of urgency and professionalism.
- Manage Active Directory, including new user set up and group/user management.
- Collaborate with upper management to understand operational needs.
- Maintain and support all telecommunications systems and security camera systems.
- Dependable, detail-focused, and capable of prioritizing work in a high-demand manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on problem solver who enjoys improving systems and processes.
