Wednesday 9am – 10pm
Thursday 3pm – 10pm
Friday 3pm – 10pm
Saturday 9am – 10pm
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience in relevant organization.
Valid driver’s license.
Proven oral and written communication skills.
Mature, assertive, and organized.
Ability to multi-task.
Ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues, respecting diversity and confidentiality.
Job Profile
This position requires commitment to the youth and families served and seeks individuals willing to work as a team. Direct Care staff provide day to day care and supervision of the youth in the program, with an emphasis on teaching skills that will empower youth and families to develop social, emotional, academic and life skills to engage successfully in the community.
The successful candidate will:
· Provide primary support and supervision to youth
· Organize, facilitate and participate in recreational activities with youth
· Assist youth with daily living, social, work readiness and recreational life skills
· Complete daily programmatic paperwork, including treatment service notes
· Attend mandatory trainings
· Utilize and implement behavior support techniques
· Model healthy boundaries and social skills within the program milieu
· Provide a safe and nurturing environment for youth
· Verbal and written communication with all members of the Deaconess team
The Fall River Deaconess Home is a private, non-profit, community-based agency serving youth and their families with a comprehensive continuum of residential, educational, clinical, medical, and supportive services. Our agency provides services in a trauma-informed environment designed to create a therapeutic environment to enrich the lives of youth from Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
