Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication and welding, with experience in various manufacturing processes. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. The Fabricator will work on-site, utilizing a range of tools and equipment to produce high-quality products that meet industry standards.
Duties
- Operate welding equipment including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and Stick welding to fabricate metal components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines for fabrication tasks.
- Perform measurements using calipers and micrometers to ensure precision in fabrication.
- Assemble components according to specifications while adhering to ASME codes & standards.
- Conduct pipe threading and ductwork fabrication as required.
- Utilize cranes for lifting heavy materials and ensure proper rigging techniques are followed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fabrication within a manufacturing or construction environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, Stick welding, and other welding techniques.
- Familiarity with mechanical knowledge and the use of various hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents accurately.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Experience with machining processes is a plus.
- Knowledge of soldering techniques and plasma cutting is advantageous.
- Forklift operation experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
