About the Role
FalconTek is seeking an experienced Navy habitability logistics professional to serve as the material and logistics lead for shipboard crew berthing and sanitary space upgrade programs at a major Navy regional maintenance command. This is a key leadership seat: you'll own the life cycle of Government Furnished Material for habitability upgrades across the surface fleet — from procurement package development through vendor testing, inventory, staging, and on-site installation support aboard ships. If you know HENL and BENL, you know exactly how rare this skill set is — and this is the seat where it matters.
What You'll Do
- Build complete procurement request packages (specifications, cost detail, vendor data) for habitability material acquired under Navy IDIQ contracts; forecast quantities from usage analysis
- Develop and update product descriptions, specifications, and drawings; oversee First Article Testing and review vendor shock and shop test reports with acceptance recommendations
- Track and control habitability material from manufacture through shipping, storage, distribution, and shipboard installation; manage receipt, inventory, and issue to ship repair availabilities
- Work daily in Navy logistics and maintenance systems — MRQT, PROTRAC, NMD, MFOM-VSB — reviewing work specifications and Work Notifications ahead of contract award
- Conduct shipboard surveys per NAVSEA Standard Item 009-21; provide on-site problem resolution during installations and deliver written debriefs to the program manager
- Adjudicate Condition Found Reports and advise maintenance teams on Requests for Contract Changes
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (required)
- 5 years of hands-on experience with the CNSL Shipboard Habitability Program — specifically the Crew Sanitary Space (HENL) and Crew Berthing Compartment (BENL) upgrade projects
- Working knowledge of JFMM Volume VI, Chapter 16 material procurement and advance planning requirements
- Hands-on experience with NMD and MFOM-VSB; understanding of CNSL funding flow through maintenance team distribution
- Familiarity with Naval Supervising Activity oversight of contracted ship availabilities and maintenance team structure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a DoD SECRET clearance

Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
