About the role:
We are looking to hire a Professional Liability Underwriter to join as a key member of the Falcon Risk Services team, specializing in Accountants, Insurance Agents and Brokers, Lawyers, and/or Miscellaneous Professional Liability. This is an open, start-up-paced, and fun environment, offering the right candidate a chance to work across all facets of the business, shape our overall workplace strategy, and progress into a broader role. The position requires initiative, creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering the best possible service to our clients. This position will be hybrid, requiring 2-3 days in-office days per week at Falcon’s NYC office. We would be open to a fully remote position for a candidate in the Chicago area.
Job Description:
- Underwriting and risk assessment

Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of insurance principles, policies, and regulations
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess complex risks and make sound underwriting decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and industry partners.
- Proficiency in underwriting software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant tools.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Professional insurance qualifications preferred
- 1 to 5 years of relevant Professional Liability underwriting experience. Accountants Professional Liability, Insurance Agents and Brokers Professional Liability, Lawyers Professional Liability, and/or Miscellaneous Professional Liability.
Salary Range:
$95,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
