What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at FALCON FIBER SOLUTIONS LLC?
Reporting to the Controller, the Staff Accountant provides GL Accountant level accounting assistance to the Accounting team, primarily focusing around general ledger, reconciliations, invoicing, and fixed asset transactions. These responsibilities may apply to multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for general ledger entries
- Prepare weekly billing for multiple entities
- Reconcile general ledger/subledger balances and research discrepancies
- Prepare weekly/monthly invoices and submit to customers
- Assist in maintaining fixed asset subledger
- Follow all internal controls
- Internal communications with other related entities accounting staff for intercompany payables and receivables
- Interaction with operational personnel for invoicing questions and as necessary to perform job functions
- Other duties as requested by supervisor
Required Qualifications and Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2-3 years Accounting Experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft operating system and suite of tools preferred
- Experience with Dynamics GP preferred, but not required
- Ability to effectively communicate and lead
- Ability to successfully solve problems
- Ability to quickly shift focus quickly to newly prioritized tasks from management
- Ability to meet expectations for completions of duties on tight deadlines
- Ability to effectively function in open office environment
- Ability to manage direction from multiple sources and Controllers or Assistant Controllers
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures
Work Environment
The position will primarily take place seated at a desk and will be indoors in a controlled office environment. Exposure to noise elements typical of an office environment. Minimal travel may be required.
