Position Summary:
The Business Development Coordinator shall establish, develop, and enhance the reputation, influence, image, and working relationships between Falck and the target customers at assigned facilities, agencies and cities utilizing ambulance transportation. Establishing this rapport will be to ensure customer satisfaction, business retention, and the development of new business.

Responsibilities:
1) Sales and Marketing based activities will encompass about 85% of customer contact.
- Develop new prospects and interact with existing customers to increase sales.
- Work closely with the Managing Director in identifying market conditions, contracting opportunities and the status of our current competition.
- Contact and interact with assigned customers on a regular and/or as needed basis.
- Manage, communicate, and keep a detailed accounting of all customer contact and interaction.
2) Provide marketing materials to assigned customers.
3) Serve as a liaison and as a contact point for customer concerns, complaints, or other issues important to the customer.
- Must be responsive to the customers’ needs and follow through on all aspects of the request, both written and verbal.
- Provide in-service opportunities and incentives to assigned customers on an on-going basis. (i.e., luncheons, hospital week, case managers’ month, etc.)
4) Attend scheduled department meetings and interact with team members.
5) Agency and Community based activities will encompass about 15% of customer contact.
- Represent Falck at assigned community events (i.e., chamber activities, community events, trade shows, or other special events.)
6) Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related special projects as assigned.
7) Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Emphasis in Sales, Business or Marketing is preferred.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures in Sales and Marketing.
- A minimum of one (1) year ambulance/healthcare experience in the private market sector is preferred.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
- Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, in a professional manner when dealing with customers, employees, and management.
- Excellent customer relations skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and to prioritize their importance.
Working Conditions:
- This position is a field-based position. It requires driving to the assigned customer’s location on a continuous basis.
- Some limited travel is required.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule based upon what the market requires, including nights and weekends.
