Quality Control Specialist
FULL-TIME HOURLY POSITION
Location: On-Site, Lexington, KY
We’re seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented bench jeweler to join our Manufacturing team as a Quality Control Specialist. In this role, you’ll ensure each piece meets our rigorous quality standards. If an issue arises, you’ll not only identify it but also apply your bench skills to correct it. You’ll help drive accountability and growth on our team by maintaining accurate QC records and supporting jewelers in continually improving their craftsmanship.

Our bench jeweler will play a vital role in this mission by crafting and ensuring the quality of every custom piece we create.
Role Responsibilities:
- Inspect completed jewelry pieces to ensure they meet company quality standards.
- Perform QC remediation and when issues are detected.
- Record QC notes for each jeweler to support accountability and continuous improvement.
- Communicate clearly and constructively with the manufacturing team about QC results.
- Apply critical thinking to problem-solving and explore different approaches to ensure best-in-class quality.
- Assist with jewelry setting work as needed.
- Work with microscopes and high-powered tools for precise inspection.
- Actively pursue growth by learning new skills and adapting to evolving processes as a part of our commitment to constant improvement.
Role Requirements:
- Full-time in office hours: Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM EST (approximately 40 hours per week).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot even the smallest imperfections.
- Effective communicator who can deliver constructive feedback.
- Comfortable working with high-powered bench tools and inspection equipment.
- Organized and diligent in record-keeping.
- Flexibility to perform hybrid work, including inspection, remediation, and additional stone setting tasks.
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to grow with the company.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2–3 years of professional hands-on bench jeweler experience or equivalent required.
- Prior quality control or finishing experience in fine jewelry is strongly preferred.
- Experience across multiple bench jeweler roles (setting, polishing, sizing, etc.) is a plus.
