What are the responsibilities and job description for the Local Dump Truck Driver / Class A position at Faith Paving?
Faith Paving is actively seeking to hire a Class A dump truck driver to assist our paving crew. The driver will haul equipment, asphalt, base material, dirt, etc. This position is not exclusive to driving though. Driver will also be assisting the crew with laborer tasks or operating other equipment.
Pay starts at $18-$20/hr with increases based on merits
Duties:
- Assist paving crew with tasks assigned by Operations Manager
- Operate dump trucks to transport materials to and from construction sites
- Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment
- Follow safety protocols and regulations while operating the dump truck
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on the dump truck
- Communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure efficient operations
Experience:
- Experience on a paving crew is helpful but not required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with Class A CDL
- Experience in bulldozing, paving, grader operation, backhoe operation, and water truck operation is a plus
- Familiarity with construction site operations and safety procedures
Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
