Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Childcare Center Director to lead and inspire our early childhood education community. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with licensing standards, and foster a nurturing environment where children thrive. Your leadership will drive program excellence, staff development, and community engagement, all while maintaining a safe, inclusive, and enriching space for young learners. This position is a (12) month contract that offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of early childhood education through strategic vision and compassionate management. *Start date for position will be July 1st,2026.*
Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership to create a positive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children.
- Oversee the implementation of curriculum development that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
- Manage daily operations including staffing, budgeting, and maintaining compliance with state and local licensing regulations.
- Lead recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluation of staff to ensure high-quality classroom instruction and effective team collaboration.
- Develop and execute strategic planning initiatives to enhance program quality and expand community outreach efforts.
- Coordinate fundraising activities and community partnerships to support program sustainability and growth.
- Monitor financial performance by managing budgets, controlling expenses, and ensuring resources are used efficiently.
- Serve as the primary public speaker for the center, engaging with families, community leaders, and stakeholders to promote the center’s mission.

- Proven experience in education administration with a strong background in classroom teaching and working directly with young children.

Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (Nursery - Second Grade. (Required)
- Minimum 2-3 years experience working in a childcare ir early childhood program.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a childcare setting.
- Strong Knowledge of child care licensing regulations established by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services.
- Strong organizational, leadership and communication skills.
- Experience with staff training and curriculum planning
- Commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children.
