We're seeking compassionate, dependable, and community-minded professionals to join our Community Support Program (CSP) team. CSP staff work directly with adults living with serious mental illness and other behavioral health challenges, helping them develop the skills, confidence, and community connections needed to live healthy, productive, and fulfilling lives.

As part of Fairwinds you'll work alongside mental health clinicians,medication management providers, peer coaches and mentors, and communitypartners to provide individualized, client-centered support where it mattersmost—in the community.

Position Summary

The Community Support Person (CSP) provides individualized,community-based skill-building and supportive services to adults receivingCommunity Support Program services.

Working under the supervision of licensed clinical staff,the CSP assists individuals in developing daily living skills, accessingcommunity resources, improving wellness, maintaining basic needs stability,increasing independence, and achieving their personal autonomy goals.

Services are delivered in homes, community settings, andother natural environments consistent with Massachusetts CBHC standards andperson-centered independence planning.

What You'll Do

As a Community Support Person, you will:

• Build supportive, strengths-based relationships with individuals receiving services.
• Assist clients in achieving individualized wellness goals.
• Help individuals develop independent living skills, including organization, budgeting, transportation, and daily routines.
• Support medication adherence and appointment follow-through (without administering medications).
• Assist individuals in accessing basic needs, employment, education, vocational, and community resources.
• Accompany clients to appointments and community activities as appropriate.
• Promote social connection and community integration.
• Provide coaching in communication, problem-solving, coping, and self-advocacy skills.
• Observe and communicate changes in functioning to the clinical team.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation.
• Follow agency policies, CBHC standards, and independence-oriented best practices.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Rehabilitation, or a related field preferred.
• Relevant lived experience, human services experience, or equivalent experience working with adults is strongly valued.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel throughout the community.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred

• Experience working with adults experiencing serious mental illness and/or co-occurring disorders.
• Knowledge of independence-oriented, trauma-informed, and person-centered care.
• Experience in community behavioral health, psychiatric rehabilitation, case management, or social services.
• Familiarity with community resources and service systems.
• Bilingual or multilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Rate: $28.00–$36.00 per hour, depending onexperience, education, and relevant qualifications.

Additional compensation may be available for bilingualand multilingual staff, particularly those fluent in Spanish or Portuguese,to better serve our diverse island community.

• Some weekend and evening hours based on client needs
