SHIPPING AND RECEIVING COORDINATOR
The Company
Fairway Products, a division of Acme Group, has been proudly serving automotive, marine, furniture, industrial and consumer clients from our Michigan based facility since 1970. As a problem solver and capability company, we produce unique non-apparel products for our customers. Fairway Products has two shifts producing a wide array of products for an extensive customer base.
The Role
The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator will report to the Shipping Supervisor and supports the Inventory, Purchasing, Customer Service and Production teams. The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is the primary point of contact for internal and external logistics and will process shipments and receipts in response to orders and deliveries.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
This position requires attention to detail and very good math and written communication skills. Candidates should be aware that this position includes extensive walking, climbing, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling and heights, throughout the day. Shipping and Receiving Coordinators will be responsible for operating forklifts, belt trucks, side shifters, and other similar equipment.
Shipping and Receiving Coordinators will unload received materials, pull and load customer shipments, assist in auditing and cycle counts, schedule pickups with designated carriers as directed, stock chase for the production floor, and perform warehouse housekeeping activities. The candidate will need to be comfortable with using computers, specifically for processing orders for Fed Ex, UPS, and LTL shipments, as well as data entry, bar code scanners, iPad, etc.
Desired Knowledge and Education
- 3-5 years of work experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. (Spanish or French is a plus)
- Experience with Microsoft Suite products with an emphasis on Outlook and Excel.
- Must be able to work independently within a collaborative team environment.
- Experience using PLEX software a plus
- Valid Driver’s License
Hours
6:00-2:30
This position does require overtime on an as-needed basis. Overtime includes up to 2 additional hours Monday thru Friday and up to 10 hours on Saturday.

Pay: $16.50 - $20.00 per hour
