Hugo Tea Program Representative - $60,000 - $75,000 base


At Hugo Tea, we believe great tea programs should be intentional, approachable, and well-executed. We partner with specialty cafés, restaurants, and hospitality groups across the United States to help them build tea programs that reflect quality, care, and a strong guest experience.


The Tea Program Representative will support the growth of Hugo Tea’s wholesale business by combining customer education, account support, and business development. This role is responsible for helping customers successfully implement and grow tea programs across matcha, chai, loose leaf tea, sachets, and other specialty tea offerings.


The ideal candidate is passionate about tea, hospitality, and specialty beverage culture, while also being comfortable building relationships, managing customer needs, and supporting revenue growth. The incumbent will lead tea trainings, support menu development conversations, manage and grow long-term customer relationships, respond to inbound sales opportunities, and contribute to outbound development with cafés, restaurants, and hospitality groups throughout the U.S.


Duties/Responsibilities

Education & Training

• Lead virtual and in-person tea education and training sessions for wholesale partners.

• Teach both foundational and advanced tea concepts including preparation, service standards, menu integration, and hospitality.

• Support cafe teams with onboarding, brew standards, matcha preparation, and seasonal beverage development.

• Help develop educational materials, trainings systems, and resources for wholesale customers.


Account Management & Customer Success

• Manage and grow an established portfolio of wholesale accounts.

• Build strong relationships with cafe owners, operators, and beverage teams.

• Maintain a high level of responsiveness, communication, and follow-through with partners.

• Respond to customer needs and inquiries within expected timeframes.

• Conduct regular account check-ins to support customer success and uncover growth opportunities.


Inbound & Outbound Sales

• Manage inbound wholesale inquiries and guide prospective partners through the sales process.

• Maintain organized pipelines and account activity tracking through HubSpot and other company systems.

• Collaborate with leadership on territory development and strategic partnerships.


Qualifications

  • Experience teaching, training, or education with coffee, tea, or hospitality environments.
  • Strong knowledge of tea and specialty beverage hospitality.

• 2 years of sales experience with a track record of delivering results.

• Highly self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously in the field.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

• Experience with CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred); NetSuite familiarity is a plus.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency and attention to detail.

• Strong customer service mindset; able to support and advocate for partners.

• A proactive, relationship-driven mindset with enthusiasm for hospitality and beverage education.

• Reliable transportation for field travel; mileage reimbursement provided.
