Fairview Range is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Acute Care team in our Med Surg Department in Hibbing, MN.
Our Acute Care unit treats medical, surgical, and pediatric patients. Remodeled in 2015, our unit boasts 28 single patient rooms each equipped with tele-med capabilities, and an adjacent 4-bed ICU. The LPN provides direct nursing care to patients as well as indirect care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The LPN performs clerical duties, transcribes physician orders, performs unit maintenance, and other duties as assigned.
Schedule: This position will work 48-60 hours per two weeks. The shift length will be 12-hours on the Day shift. Weekends: As Needed

As an LPN, you are responsible for:
- Participating in collaboration with RN staff in capturing data involved in total systems assessment, including physical, psychosocial, and spiritual data upon admission, as well as ongoing monitoring.
- Demonstrating awareness of age-specific criteria in obtaining assessment data.
- Identifying patient needs in collaboration with a registered nurse and incorporates them into an individualized plan of care.
Required Qualifications
- Current Minnesota LPN licensure.
- Current BLS certification or attends BLS class within three months of employment and maintains certification.
- Current BCS or acquires within three months of employment and maintains certification.
