- Provide 24-hour, in-house call coverage at a Level 1 Trauma Center.
- Manage comprehensive trauma and emergency surgical cases across all age groups.
- Maintain on-site availability during assigned call periods to respond promptly to trauma activations and surgeries.
- Support a Level I Trauma Service and Acute Care Surgery program.
- Work collaboratively with NP/PA staff assisting with clinical operations.
- Alternate between primary and backup call to ensure continuous patient coverage.
- Board certification required.
- Ability to handle variable case loads in an inpatient setting.
- Strong clinical skills in trauma and emergency surgery.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Work at a 465-bed Level 1 Trauma Center with established protocols and dedicated staffing.
- Provide care for critically injured patients in a high-acuity environment.
- Support the trauma and acute care surgical teams with in-house coverage.
- Position involves on-site presence during assigned call shifts, with NP/PA support available.
