Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate understanding of radiologic principles, anatomy, and pathology for appropriate technique and positioning.
- Ensure examinations are optimized for interpretation and adhere to policies.
- Assist in teaching radiography students and communicate effectively with patients to obtain history and informed consent.
- Explain procedures, address patient questions, and recognize emergent issues to ensure safety and cooperation.
- Accurately identify patients and files, track patients, and correct errors promptly.
- Maintain radiation safety within ALARA limits and utilize protective measures.
- Ensure a safe, clean environment, properly stock supplies, and operate imaging equipment per manufacturer specifications.
- Stay current with technological updates and participate in departmental initiatives.
- Recent hospital experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills and ability to perform on-call shifts.
- Strong communication, confidentiality, crisis management, customer service, and EHR skills.
- Licenses: DE state license, radiation license, and BLS certification.
- Education: Associate’s Degree in a related field.
