What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mgr Clin Data Abstr and Regist position at Fairview Health Services?
Responsible for the management of a division of the Clinical Data Abstraction and Registries Department, ensuring operational goals and objectives are met. This position manages one or more areas of abstraction and registry, delivering services to support quality, regulatory, and clinical performance purposes. The role works to continually optimize, innovate and automate processes to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the business to satisfy operational, clinical care, quality, and regulatory data needs. The manager will have working knowledge of the areas assigned, the corresponding databases and technology and will investigate/explore complex organizational issues in order to resolve, suggest and implement improvement.
The primary area of responsibility for this position is the Cancer Registry with additional registry responsibilities being added to the scope of the role at a later date.
Candidates must be a certified Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) with at least 5 years of Cancer Registry experience and at least 2 years' experience in a leadership role.
Required Qualifications
- A.A./A.S. or equivalent experience/education in related field
- 3 years or more experience in current role or a healthcare setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- B.S./B.A. or equivalent experience/education in related field
- 3 years or more working in a direct or indirect leadership role
- 4 years or more experience in the areas of abstraction/registry, data/information analytics and/or information management

The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE).
