Job Overview:
Fairview is looking for a Manager- Payroll to join our payroll team. The Payroll Manager will oversee and supervise the organization's payroll and payroll compliance functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.
Position Details:

Job Responsibilities:
- Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Collaborates with other departments that are key partners in payroll processing.
- Responds to and resolves escalated issues and/or unique or complex requests from customers.
Required Qualifications
- A.A./A.S. in Human Resources, Accounting, Tax, Business or related field
- 3 years of payroll experience
- Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- B.S./B.A. in Human Resources, Accounting, Tax, Business or related field
- 5 years of payroll experience
- Lawson and UKG knowledge
- Experience in a complex organization
- FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) or CPP (certified Payroll Professional)

The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions.
