What are the responsibilities and job description for the Anesthesia Aide-UMC position at Fairview Health Services?
We are looking for a hardworking and motivated Anesthesia Aide to join our Operating Room team!
This position will work on the East Bank campus in Minneapolis which serves an all adult patient population.
This location offers the widest range of hospital and clinical services provided through University of Minnesota Health. Complete services range from primary care and emergency care to deliver care to patients with the most complex and acute conditions.
Areas of specialization include:
- Solid organ transplant
- Blood and marrow transplantation
- Heart disease
- Cancer
Job duties are as follows:
- facilitates OR room turnover for anesthesia and operating rooms
- performs cleanup of ORs
- readies OR for next patient
- properly cares for equipment and takes action for preventative maintenance
- procures equipment
- transports specimens and blood products
- maintains inventory control
- orders and tracks supplies
- monitors arrivals of back orders
- returns incorrect or damaged orders
- restocks department with supplies
- makes rounds to keep inventory in stock

Required:
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers
Preferred:
- prefer one year experience working in the health or patient care related field including six month experience working in an operating room
