Advanced Practice Provider -Psychiatry Adult Inpatient - Minneapolis, MN

Fairview is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) to join our Behavioral Health team at the University of Minnesota Medical Center (UMMC), Riverside Campus in Minneapolis, MN. This role provides comprehensive, patient-centered care are for patients on general adult inpatient mental health units, as well as speciality units including young adult, geriatric and detox. 

Practice Details:

• 1.0 FTE (full-time) position (clinic schedule is Monday through Friday)
• Shared weekend call rotation with approximately 10–11 weekends per year, including rounding responsibilities
• Shared weeknight pager call rotation approximately every other week from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
• No overnight call responsibilities (10:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.)
• Join a team of 7 Psychiatrists and 6 PMHNPs.
• Average daily census is 8-10 beds.
• Fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC)

Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments, including medical history and physical exams
• Diagnose conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate
• Provide preventive, acute, and chronic care
• Make referrals to specialists as needed
• Perform procedures within scope of practice
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
• Participate in team-based care and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited APRN or PA program
• Current Minnesota licensure (APRN or PA)
• National certification (CNP, CNS, or NCCPA)
• Eligible for credentialing and privileging
• Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills

The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills,knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Positions withthe same min/max are flat rate jobs based on 40 hours/week. Compensation plans based on production can allow for higher pay than the range posted.
