About the Role:
Fairport Rehab and Nursing Center, a trusted leader in senior care for over 100 years, is seeking a Part-Time Food Service Worker to join our Dietary Services team. As a Food Service Worker, you will play a vital part in ensuring our residents receive nutritious, well-prepared meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Our 142-bed Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Facility proudly serves the community by offering Assisted Living and Long-Term Care services all in one location.
PayRate: $16.00 per hour
Available Shifts: 4:00pm-7:00pm
Schedule Options: Part-Time (22.5 hours per week)
Weekend Availability: Required
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily food preparation, including portioning, plating, and serving meals
- Transport meals safely and efficiently to resident households and dining areas
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen and workstation
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines
- Support the Dietary team with additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Food Services
Qualifications:
- Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred, but not required
- Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
- Capable of performing essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- Able to work independently, remain flexible, and demonstrate personal integrity
- Comfortable interacting professionally with residents, staff, visitors, volunteers, and outside agencies
