Position Summary
The Assistant Scheduler supports the scheduling team in coordinating and maintaining security officer schedules across multiple client sites. This position plays a key role in ensuring full site coverage, minimizing avoidable overtime (AVOT), and maintaining smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and thrives under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in scheduling security officers at client sites to optimize staffing levels and minimize avoidable overtime.
- Help maintain site coverage by tracking and managing vacation, personal leave, and time-off requests.
- Respond promptly to call-offs, absences, and emergencies to ensure adequate staffing.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of site contracts, client requirements, officer availability, and training status.
- Coordinate scheduling changes with the lead scheduler, management, and team members.
- Serve as a liaison between clients, supervisors, and management to resolve scheduling and training issues.
- Help maintain a reliable pool of on-call security officers to fill last-minute vacancies.
- Support the daily coordination of Watch Commander (WC) schedules and assignments.
- Notify management of open shifts and assist in matching qualified officers to site requirements.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Minimum of 2 years of related scheduling, coordination, or security operations experience preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

- Basic understanding of security operations and staffing requirements.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.
- Proficiency with computers and office software applications.

- Occasional walking, reaching, kneeling, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
