Position Summary

Fairlane Hotel is seeking a Houseperson to support the Housekeeping team in maintaining cleanliness and appearance throughout the hotel during the day.

This role responds to guest requests, strips and prepares vacant rooms, assists Room Attendants and the Executive Housekeeper with daily priorities, and keeps public areas, storage closets, and guest floors guest-ready.

RESPONSIBILITIESGuest Room & Floor Support:

• Strip linen and trash from vacant/checkedout rooms to prepare for Room Attendants
• Deliver housekeeping items (irons, ironing boards, hair dryers) to guest rooms upon request
• Assist Room Attendants with heavy lifting, room turns, and special requests to keep the floor on pace
• Report lost and found items, maintenance issues, and room discrepancies
  
  

Public Area & Deep Cleaning:

• Clean and maintain hallways, storage rooms, closets, and all guest areas
• Perform deep cleaning, including shampooing carpets, washing windows, light fixtures, and guest elevators
• Restock housekeeping closets on each floor and replenish linen carts as needed
  
  

Daily Operations:

• Receive assignments, keys, radio, and special guest requests at the start of shift
• Check and replenish supplies and cleaning tools throughout the day
• Return radio and keys at the end of shift
• Follow all company safety, security, and confidentiality policies and procedures
  
  

QUALIFICATIONSRequired:

• Excellent customer service skills and a teamfirst attitude
• Ability to follow detailed daily assignments and respond quickly to changing priorities
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods; lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
  
  

Preferred:

• Experience supporting Room Attendants in a fastpaced, highoccupancy hotel
• Prior housekeeping or related experience
  
  

SCHEDULE

On-property, daytime position with varying schedules based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.
