Responsibilities
- Perform orthodontic assessments and create treatment plans for patients
- Install and adjust orthodontic appliances such as braces, retainers, and aligners
- Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices during orthodontic treatment
- Collaborate with other dental professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with medical documentation standards
Skills
- Proficiency in general dentistry with a focus on orthodontics
- Knowledge of CAD software for treatment planning
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices and HIPAA regulations
- Ability to perform dental fabrication for orthodontic appliances
- Experience working with pediatric patients in an orthodontic setting
- Competency in taking vital signs and applying aseptic techniques
