* SIGN ON BONUS * The Automotive Controller will oversee accounting and financial operations for Fairfield Volkswagen, reporting directly to the Dealer Principal. This role will supervise accounting staff and lead a centralized accounting team while using Dealertrack and CDK Global to improve month-end close, strengthen internal controls, modernize reporting, and optimize cash management. In this role you will be the dealership controller, located in Fairfield, Ohio 45014
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate financial reports and provide financial analysis.
- Manage the month-end closing process and improve close efficiency.
- Oversee dealership accounting operations, including payables and receivables.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cash management activities.
- Coordinate audits and support timely delivery of requested financial information.
- Establish and strengthen internal controls across dealership accounting processes.
- Supervise accounting staff and lead the centralized accounting team.
- Modernize financial reporting using Dealertrack and CDK Global.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in automotive accounting.
- Experience with automotive accounting and dealership management systems.
- Knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Understanding of internal controls.
- Leadership experience supervising accounting staff or centralized accounting teams.
- Willingness to help grow and promote the dealership.
