Intramural Boys Basketball Coach Middle School

Position Overview:
The Intramural Middle School Boys Basketball Coach will oversee and facilitate recreational basketball activities for middle school students in an after-school intramural program. This position focuses on promoting sportsmanship, skill development, teamwork, and physical fitness in a non-competitive, inclusive environment.

• Plan and lead intramural basketball practice sessions and games
• Teach fundamental basketball skills and rules of the game
• Supervise students to ensure a safe and positive playing environment
• Foster good sportsmanship, respect, and teamwork among participants
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration
• Maintain attendance records and equipment inventory
• Ensure compliance with all school district policies and safety protocols

• Valid Connecticut Coaching Permit (or eligibility to obtain)
• Knowledge of basketball fundamentals and rules
• Ability to work effectively with middle school-aged students
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to pass background check and comply with district requirements
